Postby zappa » 7 Jan 2010 01:04

Happy new year all.

Ok so ive spent the last 2 days getting to grips with Flight sim design studio.
Somthing ive always wanted to have a go at.
Anyway ive manage some how affter lots of trial and error to build a hanger at F10 to park thomas Draken in :)
Still learning and the models not perfect but its early days. god this modleing lark is complicated lol. but its all new to me.
Anyways heres a pic. 8O

Looking good! And room enough for the "watermark" too! ;)

You can find photos of the real hangars on Airliners.net I think. There is also an excellent FSX scenery of the current ESTA airport with some of the F10 buildings left, download it here.

Thanks Thomas.

This is somthing i always wanted to have a go at.
This biggest thing for me has been knowing what i want to make, but getting into the mind set of how to doit with the 3d modeling software.
But i guess that comes with practice.
I was thinking of haveing ago at making scenery for ESTA but Kinda pointless if its allready been done.
Has it changed much since it was a base? Maybe i could try to make a version based in say the 80's?
Or is there any other smaller bases you could recormend !
Of coures the biggest problem is getting the imformatiom, photo's ,layout ect.
especialy as i dont live in sweden lol.

I tried to PM kilotango yesterday, no problem there. I also checked your permissions and you have the same access rights as other registered users. Have you tried logging in on another computer and sending a PM? Maybe it is a local error or misconfiguration.

Cockpit lighting (exterior)

Added some more detail to the rather frugal cockpit in the exterior model. The instruments are now illuminated at night, yay!
