ACRO DELTAS
The ACRO DELTA formation team flew the 35A/B, but since we don't have the luxury of all the models (Thomas has worked hard enough on the 35J !) I did a repaint of the 35J in ACRO DELTA livery.
Here are a couple of screenshots:
Perhaps we could do some formation in Zappa's Multiplayer session?

Re: ACRO DELTAS
I would very much like to give it ago!
See how the multiplayer sessions go and would like to make it a regular thing.
Thats why this week just kept it simple with t&g's get everyone started.
If it takes off
then we can see what people want to do with hops, training ect
Nice paints

Were they bare metal? If so, I may have a chunk of that done already.

Re: ACRO DELTAS
I actually have a description of the show the Acro Deltas usually put on, all the manoeuvres in the correct order etc. This of course changed somewhat between shows, but they had more or less a standard "set list". Would that be of any interest to you?

Re: ACRO DELTAS
That would be great, Tom. Not too many people seem to be that interested in formation flying in the Draken, but I would like to try the routine, even if it is only using FSRecorder and making a small movie.
Railrunner: I have this picture of the team

Cheers

Re: ACRO DELTAS
Here is a scan showing the Acro Deltas set in 1964 (click on the image to zoom in). It's in Swedish, but I think you can figure it all out from the illustrations.

A few words may need translation:
FÖRBISVÄNG = passing turn
HÖGER = right
VÄNSTER = left
OMGRUPPERING = regrouping
UTVÄNDIG = outside
The whole set lasted about 10 minutes and was followed by a solo show by Lt. Göran "Boris" Bjuremalm (top left on keatles' pic).

Re: ACRO DELTAS
Thanks Tom
I'll see if I can produce a video sometime of a short FSX routine from this diagram.

One of our members just pointed out to me that the VC is positioned somewhat below the cockpit in the exterior model. Odd, since the VC and the exterior model are... Read more... | |
